Goal7's client, an established E&P company, engaged the Goal7 team to assist in the review and screening of carbon dioxide shipping solutions to understand the full CCS value chain and the market as a whole
Project Neos is a pre-FEED study investigating the technical and commercial aspects of establishing an electrical connection between an offshore wind farm and an offshore oil and gas installation. One of the key deliverables is the public domain report summarising the study outputs prepared by a consortium of Ørsted, Neptune, and Goal7. This study was supported by the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA), which managed a £1 million decarbonisation competition for the electrification of offshore oil and gas installations (NSTA news)
The accelerated decarbonisation study was a comprehensive review of decarbonisation options to meet the North Sea Transition Deal target of reducing the carbon intensity of an offshore oil and gas platform's operations in 2025 by at least 10%. Additionally, the study serves as an initial feasibility study that could provide a pathway to further decarbonise the platform or to support transitioning the asset to a new energy purpose.
The client has an ambition to be Net Zero by 2040, with interim targets set to achieve this. One of the projects identified as having a major impact on UK emissions was to swap out traditional diesel for an alternative low-carbon fuel. Goal7 were engaged to support the client in the development and execution of this project.
Goal7's client has a 2040 Net Zero Ambition with interim targets to achieve its emissions' reduction. Goal7's team were engaged to support the client in designing a plan to hit these targets, assess the emissions reduction impact from various identified projects and to forecast the impact of potential initiatives to highlight if it was on track to meet its targets.
Goal7's client wanted to make nominations and applications for several potential CCS stores in the UKCS. Goal7 were involved in an accelerated project to develop the application strategy and documents alongside the concept development and technical work.
